You don’t get better than charming Capri. The graceful gem of the lemon-scented Amalfi Coast, Capri is pure poetry and worthy of a thousand sonnets. Dwarfed by soaring sea cliffs and penned in by the sparkling sea, any other small would disappear against so much drama but not Capri. Brimming with wisteria frothed villas, brightly painted buildings, gardens cloaked in kaleidoscopic colour framed by pergolas, and plump piazzas that are prime people-watching territory, Capri doesn’t fail to utterly enchant. Charter guests will want to visit the famed Grotta Azzurra - this flooded cave was believed to be home to sea nymphs and magic back in Roman days thanks to its iridescent hues of unbelievable blue. The Gardens of Augustus are also worth a stroll and the Villa San Michele is sure to steal your heart. With incredible seafood on offer and divine confection, you won’t go hungry in this happening summer spot.
Positano is a dramatic, cliffside village on the Amalfi Coast, and without doubt one of the most photographed and filmed locations in Italy. This chic retreat is a must stop on your charter.
Stromboli is the northernmost island of this archipelago, which can be easily reached from mainland Sicily or from any of the other Aeolian Islands. It is the only island in the world with a permanently active volcano that juts sharply out of the sea, making it a unique charter destination. Because of the small size of this remote island, land transport is not available, making it an idyllic, unspoilt destination, excellent for exploring.
Panarea is the ideal destination for a luxurious island getaway. Everyone has heard of Capri, but in Italy however, the locals know of Panarea. During the summer, VIPs, actors, and Italy's affluent youth flock to this glamorous little island for yachting vacations, romantic getaways, and late-night parties. Even though Panarea has a rich history, including the remains of a Bronze Age village, tourism has not affected it much and it is still an authentic destination.
Tropea is a favourite spot from where to explore Amalfi or the Aeolians. This beautiful Italian port, founded by Hercules himself, is a great place from where yachts can sail to the nearby Aeolian Islands which are 30 nautical miles away. The jewel of Calabria, this clifftop historical town offers gorgeous famous cultural and historical attractions and sights, including the Monastery of Santa Maria dell'Isola from the 7th Century BC. Head to the shore with its beautiful sandy beaches and see-through turquoise waters for a spot of windsurfing.
Much like Capri, Amalfi attracts tourists of great prestige. The 50 kilometers of Amalfi coastline stretch primarily from Sorrento to Salerno. It remains a unique and incredibly beautiful location. The hilly towns display Italian engineering and architecture at its finest, with terraced houses dangling from the steep cliffs. This area is a sight to behold.
For almost two centuries, Sorrento has been a popular tourist destination, perched on a plateau above the sea with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples. The historic seaside town has learned to cope with and benefit from tourism, and in exchange, it provides a traditional 'Mediterranean summer holiday' experience - without losing its Italian character and charm.
Southern Italy's yacht charter hub, Naples is energetic and lively, but charming and beautiful at the same time. Here you'll find a proud and colourful culture and a welcoming hospitality. It is the gateway to Capri and the Amalfi Coast which are without doubt one of the most stunning coast lines in the Mediterranean. The rich history of Naples has left it with a wealth of monuments and historical buildings, from classical ruins to medieval castles and a wide range of historically and culturally significant sites including the Roman ruins of Pompeii and the Palace of Caserta. There are plenty of museums & religious sites to visit, not to mention what lies beneath Naples...catacombs, caves and ancient reservoirs. A visit here is of course not complete without a trip to Vesuvius. This city serves a cultural and historical feast for the eyes!
